These Allen screws are screwed into the cooling fan hub and are used to fasten the fan hub for the engine cooling fan reference  911.010443M as well as the inner pulley halves.

During the alternator installation on your Porsche 964 or 993, we recommend that you inspect for wear and replace if necessary the following components :

911.010443M: Cooling fan hub with bearing, 964 + 993

911.010423: Alternator belt, 10x775 mm., 964 + 993

911.010424: Alternator belt, 9.5x760 mm., 964 Carrera 2 + 993 Carrera 2 Tiptronic

We recommend that you replace your engine drive belts when these are dried out, cracked, glazed or worn.
