The first Porsche 911’s with 2.0 liter Type 901 engines from 1965 and 1966 are easily recognized because they are fitted with 40 mm. Solex 40 PI-1 carburators that are supplied with fuel by the mechanical double fuel pump reference 911.020011A that is bolted to the engine and driven off the left camshaft.
