This early type fork shaft is no longer available from the Porsche factory, as
it has been replaced by a newer design. However with our part you can still use
the early type clutch release fork if your vehicle is so equipped.
During a
clutch replacement for instance, check the condition of your early style clutch
release fork and replace its shaft with our part. To rebuild your early clutch
release fork shaft you will also need to order the 2 16 x 22 x 20 mm. needle
cage clutch fork bearings available under reference 911.030038A2.
(For the later model Porsche 911 Carrera’s from
1987-1989 and the later 911 Turbo’s from 1989, this procedure no longer
applies, as the early clutch release fork shaft has been replaced by the
later-model clutch release fork shaft reference 911.030038A.)
Double-check the release fork shaft style on your
vehicle before placing your order.
