Interior gasket diameter: 34 mm.
These intake manifold gaskets ensure that there is no
airflow into or out from the manifolds. Defective intake manifold gaskets could
alter the proper (stoïchometric) balance between air and fuel in the combustion
chamber, reducing the engine’s performance or making it run hotter than
normal.
For the carbureted versions of the Porsche 911 or
914-6 that are equipped with intake manifold flanges, these intake manifold
gaskets are placed above and below the intake manifold flanges located at the
base of the intake manifolds.
For the carbureted versions of the 911 without intake
manifold flanges and for the fuel injected versions of the 911, these intake
gaskets are located on top of the cylinder heads, between the cylinder heads
and the throttle housing / intake pipes.
Quantities required per vehicle:
Carbureted versions without intake manifold
flanges : 6
Carbureted versions with intake manifold
flanges : 12
Fuel injected versions without intake manifold
flanges : 6
Note: This part is
sold individually, unless it is included in one of our engine seal and gasket
sets.
When replacing the intake manifold gaskets on your carbureted
911 or 914-6, it is advisable to also check the integrity (and replace if
necessary) the following components:
Intake manifold flange reference 911.010385 (6 flanges required per vehicle).
