Porsche 911 Turbo 3.3 L Type 930 (1978-1989)
The BOSCH Model 911SC electronic ignition box is designed to replace the Bosch ignition module originally installed on Turbocharged Porsche 911’s with 3.3 L engines (Type 930) from 1978 to 1989. It is also suitable for use in the Porsche 911 SC with the 3.0 L normally aspirated engine from 1978 to 1983.
The advantage of the BOSCH system is to produce a hotter and longer-lasting spark that is three times more powerful than the spark produced by the stock ignition system. This improves fuel combustion at all engine speeds, increases engine horsepower, reduces emissions and prevents your spark plugs from fouling.
The Model 911SC BOSCH ignition box comes equipped with mounting hardware and a harness that it wired into the car. It bolts up and plugs in to the same location as the stock system. By design, BOSCH ignition boxes are easy to install and make very little heat of their own.
