Our sodium-filled exhaust valve is used as original equipment on the following vehicle models:

This sodium-filled exhaust valve can also be used as an option on the following vehicles as an alternative to the exhaust valves reference 356.010090E with solid steel stems:

This exhaust valve is not suitable for the Carrera versions of the Porsche 356 C.

Sodium-filled exhaust valves have a hollow valve stem which is partially filled with granular sodium metal. Sodium is a highly conductive metal for heat. The up-and-down movement of the exhaust valve when the engine is running causes the sodium inside the valve stem to transfer heat from the valve head to the cooler valve stem top which aids in heat dissipation.

Remarks: the use of exhaust valves with a solid steel stem reference 356.010090E is recommended to preserve the original engine specifications on the Porsche 356 C and 356 SC from 1964-1965.

It is good practice to compare the size and shape of your old exhaust valves with the size of the replacement units before starting cylinder head reassembly.
