For the European versions of the Porsche 928 S:

The Porsche 928 S from year model 1983 in their European versions with 221 kw / 297 HP. equipped with a K-Jetronic fuel injection system are not equipped with this fuel pressure regulator.

For the USA / Canada / Japan versions of the Porsche la 928 S:

The fuel pressure regulator is placed next to the engine fuel rail. It serves to maintain a constant pressure in the fuel rail(s) and to the fuel injectors. If the fuel pressure regulator in your L-Jetronic fuel injection vehicle cannot maintain a constant pressure, engine power and performance could be affected.

Quantities required per vehicle:

928: 2 next to each fuel injection rail

911: 1 next to the fuel injection rail

In vehicles equipped with the L-Jetronic fuel injection system, this fuel pressure regulator works together with the fuel pressure damper reference 911.020019.
