Fuel pump, 996 Carrera 2 (98-01) + 986 Boxster (97-01)

Our electrical fuel pump is used as original equipment on the following vehicle models:

     Porsche 996 Carrera 3.4 L 220 KW / 299 HP. (1998-1999)

     Porsche 996 Carrera 2 3.4 L 220 KW / 299 HP. (2000-2001)

     Porsche 986 Boxster 2.5 L 150 KW / 204 HP. (1997-1999)

     Porsche 986 Boxster 2.7 L 160 KW / 218 HP. (2000)

     Porsche 986 Boxster 2.7 L 162 KW / 220 HP. (2001)

     Porsche 986 Boxster S 3.2 L 185 KW / 252 HP. (2000-2001)

Notes:

This fuel pump for the all-wheel drive version of the Porsche 996 Carrera and Porsche Boxster up to the 2001 model year is immersed inside the fuel tank located in the front end of the vehicle. This pump is only suitable for vehicles with the steering wheel to the left.

The trouble-checking procedure for immersed fuel pumps is as follows: First verify that your 996’s fuel pump relay reference N911.090070C is working properly. (This fuel pump relay is located inside the relay board behind the dashboard). Use a voltmeter to verify current output to the fuel pump to verify that the relay is working properly. If you determine that the fuel pump is actually receiving current, the next step is to access the fuel pump which is connected to the fuel level sender reference N911.020069 located inside the tank.
