This heat exchanger is suitable for installation on
the left side as well as on the right side of the vehicle. It is installed on
all non-turbocharged 911’s equipped with the K-Jetronic ignition system from
1975 to 1983.
The galvanized metal finish of this heat exchanger gives it better
temperature and corrosion resistance than untreated steel, and represents a
cost-effective alternative to the installation of more expensive stainless
steel heat exchangers.
Heat exchangers recover heat from the exhaust system
in order to provide warm air to the passenger compartment. It is important to
verify that your heat exchangers are in good condition to avoid any cabin heat
loss or worse still, any exhaust gases being leaked into the passenger
compartment heating system.
