These intake pipes / throttle housing gaskets ensure
that there are no air leaks between the intake pipes and the throttle housing
bodies which could alter the proper air metering to the combustion chamber and
affect the correct air to fuel ratio at different throttle settings. Defective
intake gaskets could alter the proper (stoïchometric) balance between air and
fuel in the combustion chamber and reduce engine performance.
For the fuel injected versions of the 911, these
intake gaskets are located below the intake manifold pipes (also known as intake
suction pipes or velocity stacks) and the throttle valve housing.
Quantities required per vehicle: 6
Note: This part is
sold individually, unless it is included in one of our engine seal and gasket
sets.
When replacing the intake pipe to throttle housing
gaskets on your fuel-injected 911, it is advisable to also check the integrity
(and replace if necessary) the following components:
Intake gasket, throttle housing to cylinder head, reference
911.010380
(6 gaskets required per vehicle).
