Generator pulley shims / spacers, 356 (50-65) + 912 (66-69)

Our generator pulley shim is used as original equipment on the following vehicles:

    Porsche 356 (1950-1955)

    Porsche 356 A (1956-1959)

    Porsche 356 B (1959-1963)

    Porsche 356 C (1964-1965)

    Porsche 356 SC (1964-1965)

    Porsche 912 1.6 L (1966-1969)

These shim or spacers are placed on the generator hub reference 912.010442. They’re located between the 2 generator pulley halves reference 912.010440 and 912.010441 to set generator pulley tension as well as between the outer pulley half and the generator nut to fasten the pulley.

Locations and quantities required per vehicle:

356 + 356 A + 356 B + 356 C/SC:

10 shims, of which 4 or 5 are used between the outer pulley half and the generator nut. The rest are placed as required between the two pulley halves to set generator belt tension.

356 Carrera(except on the 356 B Carrera GS from 1962-1963 96 kw / 131 HP. with Type 587/1 engine - Engine Numbers P 97001 to P 97446):

4 shims between the outer pulley half and the generator nut.

912:

19 shims, as follows:

- 1 shim between the cooling turbine and the turbine securing nut,

- 4 or 5 shims between the generator outer half pulley and the generator nut,

- remaining shims as required between the two pulley halves to set generator belt tension.
