If your engine
airbox is cracked or broken due to an overpressure caused by an engine backfire
for instance, the airflow into the air-fuel metering unit will be irregular. This
will make the proper operation of the K-Jetronic fuel injection system
difficult and your engine’s performance will decrease. Ensure that your airbox
is always clean and in good shape.
To avoid an engine
backfire that could damage your airbox, we recommend the installation of the
airbox overpressure pop-off valve reference911.020082SP.
