Locknut for transmission main shaft 911 Turbo (75-88) + 924 (78-79) +924 Turbo/GT (-84) + 959

Our locknut for the transmission main shaft is used as original equipment on the following vehicles:

     Porsche 911 Turbo 3.0 L (1975-1977) *

     Porsche 911 Turbo 3.3 L (1978-1988) *

     Porsche 924 2.0 L with manual 5-speed transmission (1978-1979)

     Porsche 924 Turbo 2.0 L (1979-1984)

     Porsche 924 Carrera GT 2.0 L (1981)

     Porsche 959 2.85 L (1987-1988) **

Notes:

* This main shaft locknut is used in vehicles that are equipped with Type 930 4-speed transmissions.

For the Porsche 911 Turbo and 924’s above, this lock nut is located at the end of the transmission main shaft on the longest side. It secures the gear sets to the main shaft.

In the Porsche 959, this transmission locknut is placed at the end of the main and pinion (secondary) shaft. It secures the transmission’s gear sets on both transmission shafts.

Locknut dimensions: M30 x 1.5.
