Plastic expansion rivet for door sill scuff plate 911 S (67+68) + 911 (69-73) + 914-4 (70-76)

Our plastic expansion rivet for the installation of the door sill scuff plates is factory equipment for the following vehicles:

This plastic expansion rivet is only used on vehicles that are equipped with aluminum door sill scuff plates 911.080178 and 911.080179 which, from 1967 to 1969, are reserved to vehicles equipped with the “911 S” trim package. From 1970 to 1973, these scuff plates were made available to the full 911 vehicle lineup.  

Quantities required per vehicle in this application: 20 (10 rivets per scuff plate)

Additionally, our plastic expansion rivet is also used to fasten the door sill scuff plates in the following vehicles:

Finally, this plastic rivet is also used to fasten the door sill side trim or moulding in the following vehicles:

Porsche 914-6 Sportomatic 2.0 L (1970-1971)

Quantities required per vehicle in this application: 12 (6 rivets per moulding)

The door sill scuff plates in the vehicles of the lists above are fastened to the body with oval head self-tapping screws of dimensions 2.9 mm x 9.5 mm., which are screwed inside the plastic rivets. This prevents vibrations and protects your vehicle against galvanic corrosion which could appear between different metals (steel for the door sills ans aluminum for the door sill scuff plates).
