From the 1968 year-model onwards, this round side-view mirror with a flat surface and chromed shell was replaced by Porsche by the round side-view mirror with a convex face reference 911.080169.

From 1972 onwards, round side-view mirrors were replaced by rectangular-shaped models, both manual and electric (the latter from 1976 onwards).

Nevertheless, the use of the round side-view mirror with a flat surface and chrome finish was still possible as an option  to be mounted on the (left) passenger side on the following vehicles whose steering wheel is on the right side (mostly for the U.K. market):

Our round side-view mirror in stainless steel with a flat mirror face is a reproduction of the original steel Porsche part with a chromed finish.

Note: installation of our round side-view mirror reference 911.080168 is done on the driver’s side of the vehicle (to the left); however, to improve on the appearance of your vehicle, mounting of this side-view mirror is also possible on the passenger’s side. To do so, it is necessary to offset the placement of the mirror on the right side somewhat, in order to obtain the best possible field of view. Trial fit the side view mirror on the passenger’s side first before doing any drilling on the vehicle’s body.  You must also check that the installation of this side-view mirror on the right side of the vehicle will not interfere with the seal at the top of the passenger door (if applicable) but will still provide a good angle of vision.

Our stainless steel round side-view mirror with a flat mirror face is supplied with its rubber mounting gasket.

Quantity required per vehicle: 1 on driver’s side + 1 (as an option) on the passenger’s side.
