Notes:
Our 4-piece forged
piston kit with rings and with diameter 83 mm. (+0.50 mm. oversize compared to
the factory piston diameter of 82.5 mm.) will allow you to increase the
displacement of your vehicle to 1602 cc. from the 1582 cc’s originally offered
by the factory, with the corresponding increase in power.
Altough possible on
other Type 1600 engines with 1582 cc., the installation of these pistons is
only recommended on vehicles that are equipped with the Porsche counterweighted
crankshaft reference 912.010033 that
is originally installed on the Porsche 912, 356 SC and 356 B Super 90.
To install this 83
mm. piston kit on your vehicle you will need to re-bore your cylinders from the
82.5 mm. original size to a diameter of 83 mm.
