Our synchronizer hub (shifting sleeve) for the transmission gears has two different applications as original equipment in the Porsche parts program.

1. This sleeve is used as a synchronizer hub (shifting sleeve) for the 1st gear in the following vehicle models that are equipped with manual 4 or 5-speed manual transmissions:

     Porsche 911 E / 911 S 2.4 L (1972-1973)

     Porsche 911 T-V / 911 T-E / 911 T-K 2.4 L (1972-1973)

     Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 L (1973-1975)

     Porsche 911 2.7 L (1974-1977)

     Porsche 911 S 2.7 L (1974-1977)

     Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0 L (1976-1977)

Quantities required per vehicle in this application:

- 911 with 5-speed transmissions: 1

- 911 with 4-speed transmissions: 1

2. This sleeve is also used as a synchronizer hub (shifting sleeve) for the 2nd gear in the following vehicle models that are equipped with manual 4 or 5-speed manual transmissions:

     Porsche 911 E / 911 S 2.4 L (1972-1973)

     Porsche 911 T-V / 911 T-E / 911 T-K 2.4 L (1972-1973)

     Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 L (1973-1975)

     Porsche 911 2.7 L (1974-1977)

Notes:

This synchronizer hub slides on the gear shifting guide sleeves for the 1st and 2nd gears. When synchronizer rings begin to wear out, synchro hubs also become worn out. This causes gears to grind when shifting or to jump out of gear once engaged.

This synchronizer hub is used on vehicles with manual 4 or 5-speed transmissions. It is not useable on the Porsche 911 Turbo or on vehicles that are equipped with Sportomatic transmissions.
