Synchro ring 3rd+4th gear 964 RS 92 +3rd>6th + reverse gear 993 RS + 4th>6th gear 996/997GT3

Our synchronizer ring for the transmission gears has several uses as original equipment in the Porsche parts program.

1. This ring is used as a synchro ring for the 3rd and 4th free gears on the following vehicles that are equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission:

       Porsche 964 Carrera RS 92 M003 3.6 L (1992) *

Notes:

* Only suitable for the Porsche 964 Carrera RS M003 from 1992 (Euro version), with the following transmission numbers: G5031 2002001 >> 999999 (1992). (For the Porsche 964 Carrera RS America (1993-1994) use the synchro rings for the 3^rd and 4^th free gears reference 911.030151.)

Quantity required per vehicle in this application: 2

2. This ring is used as a synchro ring for the 3^rd + 4^th + 5^th + 6^th gears as well as for the reverse gear on the following vehicles that are equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission:

         Porsche 993 Carrera RS 3.75 L M003 (1995) *

Notes:

* Only for the Porsche 993 Carrera RS M003 from 1995, with the following transmission numbers: G5032 2002001 >> 999999 (1995).

3. This ring is used as a synchro ring for the 3^rd + 4^th + 5^th + 6^th free gear on the following vehicles that are equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission:

        Porsche 997 Turbo GT2 3.6 L (2008-2009)*

        Porsche 997 Turbo GT2 RS 3.6 L (2011) **

        Porsche 997 GT3 3.6 L (2007-2009) ***

Notes:

* For vehicles with the following transmission numbers: G9788 2002001 >> 999999 (2008-2009).

** For vehicles with the following transmission numbers: G9788 2002001 >> 999999 (2011).

*** For vehicles with the following transmission numbers: G9790 2002001 >> 999999 (2007-2009).

4. This ring is used as a synchro ring for the 4^th + 5^th + 6^th free gear on the following vehicles that are equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission:

       Porsche 996 GT3 3.6 L (1999-2001/2004-2005)*

       Porsche 996 GT3 RS 3.6 L (2004)*

       Porsche 997 GT3 3.8 L (2010-2011)**

       Porsche 997 GT3 RS 3.8 L (2010-2011)***

Quantity required per vehicle in this application: 3

The purpose of these synchronizer rings is to allow the free pinions from the transmission’s gear sets to mesh without grinding. If grinding or difficult shifting is experienced when gears are changed, your synchro rings may be worn out.
