Our synchronizer
ring for the transmission gears has several uses as original equipment in
the Porsche parts program.
1. This ring is used as a synchro ring for the 3rd + 4th + 5th +
6th gears as well as for the reverse gear on the following
vehicles that are equipped with a 6-speed
manual transmission:
Porsche 993 Carrera 3.6 L
(1994-1998)
Porsche 993 Carrera 4 3.6
L (1995-1998)
Porsche 993 Carrera S 3.6 L (1996-1998)
Porsche 993 Carrera 4S 3.6 L
(1996-1998)
Porsche 993 Carrera Turbo-Look 3.6 L

Notes:
This synchro ring is not suitable for the Porsche 993 Carrera RS 3.75 L M003 from 1995
with the following transmission numbers: G5032 2002001 >> 999999
(1995). For these vehicles use the synchro ring for the 3rd + 4th
+ 5th + 6th + reverse gear reference 911.030151A.

2. This ring is used as a synchro ring for the 3rd + 4th + 5th +
6th free gear on the following vehicles that are equipped with a
6-speed manual transmission:

The purpose of these synchronizer rings is to allow
the free pinions from the transmission’s gear sets to mesh without grinding. If
grinding or difficult shifting is experienced when gears are changed, your
synchro rings may be worn out.
