Synchronizer ring 1st >2nd gear 911/964 Carrera (87-94 except Carrera RS 92) +911/964 Turbo (89-94)

Our synchronizer ring for the 1^st and 2^nd gear is used as original equipment on the following vehicle models that are equipped with the Type G50 and G64 5-speed manual transmissions:

     Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 L (1987-1989)

     Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 L Turbo-Look (1987-1989)

     Porsche 911 Turbo 3.3 L (1989)

     Porsche 964 Carrera 4 3.6 L (1989-1994)

     Porsche 964 Carrera 2 / Carrera 4 Turbo-Look 3.6 L (1991-1994)

Notes:

* This synchro ring is not used on the Porsche 964 Carrera RS 92 with the following transmission numbers: G5010 2002001 >> 9 99999 (1992).

** Not used on vehicles with Tiptronic transmissions.

These synchronizer rings are placed between the 1st and 2^nd free gears on the secondary transmission shaft. Their purpose is to allow the free pinions from the 1^st and 2^nd gear sets to mesh without grinding. If grinding or difficult shifting is experienced when gears are changed, your synchro rings may be worn out.
