Synchronizer ring for 3rd + 4th + 5th + 6th + reverse gear, 986 Boxster S (00-04) + 996 (98-05)

Our synchronizer ring for the 3^rd + 4^th + 5^th + 6^th gear as well as the reverse gear is used as original equipment on the following vehicles equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission:

     Porsche 996 Carrera 3.4 L (1998-1999)

     Porsche 996 Carrera 4 3.4 L (1999-2001)

     Porsche 996 Carrera 2 3.4 L (2000-2001)

     Porsche 996 Carrera 2 3.6 L (2002-2005)

     Porsche 996 Carrera 4 3.6 L (2002-2005)

     Porsche 996 Carrera 4S 3.6 L (2002-2005)

     Porsche 986 Boxster S 3.2 L (2000-2004)

This synchronizer ring is used in the following locations in the 6-speed transmission:

- when used as a synchro ring for the 5^th and 6^th gear: This synchronizer ring is placed on the main transmission shaft on both sides of the 5^th to 6^th gear sliding sleeve assembly.

- when used as a synchro ring for the 3^rd and 4^th gear: This synchronizer ring is placed on the main transmission shaft on both sides of the 3^rd to 4^th gear sliding sleeve assembly.

- when used as a synchro ring for the reverse gear: This synchronizer ring is placed on the secondary (pinion) transmission shaft on the outside of the free-wheeling (large) reverse gear.

Not for use in vehicles equipped with a Tiptronic transmission.
