Our throttle body air intake boot is used as original equipment on the following vehicles that are equipped with the L-Jetronic fuel injection system:
Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 L 170 KW / 231 HP. (1984-1986) Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 L Turbo-Look 170 KW / 231 HP. (1984-1986) Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 L 152 KW / 207 HP. (USA/CAN/JPN) (1984-1986)
Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 L 170 KW / 231 HP. (1987-1989) Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 L with catalytic converter 160 KW / 218 HP. (1987-1989) Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 L Speedster 170 KW / 231 HP. (1989)
This rubber air intake boot is placed between the vehicle’s throttle body (air intake side) and the mass airflow meter reference 911.020048S. Use screw clamp reference 911.020103A to secure the boot to the mass airflow meter.
If the throttle body air intake boot is cracked or damaged, the airflow into the air-fuel metering unit will be irregular. This will make the proper operation of the L-Jetronic fuel injection system difficult and your engine’s performance will decrease. Ensure that your throttle body air intake boot is always clean and in good shape.
