This magnesium air intake boot is placed between the vehicle’s throttle body and the mass airflow meter reference 911.020048S. Use screw clamp reference N911.020100B1 to secure the boot to the mass airflow meter.
The magnesium air intake boot offers increased temperature resistance than that of the plastic air intake boot reference 911.020105A but with added weight.
If the throttle body air intake boot is cracked or damaged, the airflow into the air-fuel metering unit will be irregular. This will make the proper operation of the L-Jetronic fuel injection system difficult and your engine’s performance will decrease. Ensure that your throttle body air intake boot is always clean and in good shape.
