Transmission pinion shaft front bearing 911 (72-86) + pinion shaft rear bearing 356 (57-65)

Our transmission roller bearing has two different applications as original equipment in the Porsche parts program.

1. This roller bearing is used as the secondary transmission shaft (pinion shaft) front bearing on the transmission casing on the following vehicle models that are equipped with manual transmissions:

     Porsche 911 E / 911 S 2.4 L (1972-1973)

     Porsche 911 T-V / T-E / T-K 2.4 L (1972-1973)

     Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 L (1973-1975)

     Porsche 911 2.7 L (1974-1977)

     Porsche 911 S 2.7 L (1974-1977)

     Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0 L (1976-1977)

     Porsche 911 SC 3.0 L (1978-1983)

     Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 L (1984-1986)

     Porsche 912 E 2.0 L (USA-CAN) (1976)

In this application this roller bearing is placed on the lower position on the transmission gears’ casing for vehicles equipped with type 915 transmissions. This bearing is also the secondary transmission shaft (pinion shaft’s) front roller bearing.

This roller bearing is not used on vehicles equipped with Sportomatic transmissions.

2. This bearing is also used as a roller bearing on the transmission’s secondary shaft (pinion shaft) in the rear position on the following vehicles:

      Porsche 356 A Coupé / Cabrio / Speedster (1957) *

      Porsche 356 B (1960-1963)

      Porsche 356 C (1964-1965)

      Porsche 356 SC (1964-1965)
