Valve stem seal, 924 (76-85) + 924 Turbo (79-84) + 924 Carrera GT (1981)

Our valve stem seal is used on the following vehicles:

Notes:

Valve stem seals are placed at the top of the intake and exhaust valve stems. Their purpose is to allow a certain quantity of oil to flow down along the intake valve stems to lubricate them as they slide up and down past the valve guides. However, the valve stem seal also acts as a wiper to the valve stem, to limit the quantity of oil along the stem, so as not to have oil entering the combustion chamber, which could foul the spark plugs, affect engine emissions and reduce its performance.

If you have a small amount of white smoke while starting your car in the morning, it could be bad stem seals.
